1. Install Forms Central. If you haven't done so already, install our free app from the iTunes App Store or the Android Market. You can then log in with the default credentials if you haven't seen the demo forms yet, but you'll log in with your own account credentials to see your own forms.
2. Watch a Training Video. Spend 13 minutes getting an overview of the workflow using Formotus with InfoPath and SharePoint. We just upgraded our console so the colors and clicks are a little different now, but the process overview still applies.Watch the training video now >>
3. Sign up for a training course. Our partner Forms On Fire offers an online introduction to using Formotus with InfoPath. Visit Forms On Fire >>
4. Explore the Cloud Console. Log in and poke around. Understand the process. First you install an application (form) in your account, then you publish it, then you deploy it to selected mobile users. You can create up to 5 users in your trial account. You control exactly which forms go to which user.
5. Explore Standard Forms. Click Standard Forms on the left menu. These are our ready-made forms that you can install, deploy and use immediately. They all submit by email. Even if you don't want to submit by email or these forms don't meet your needs exactly, they should give you some good design ideas about your own project.Read about the standard forms and see screenshots here >>
6. Start Using InfoPath. To get the most out of the Formotus platform, you'll need to use Microsoft Office InfoPath. If it's not included in your version of Office, you can get it separately for around $200. InfoPath 2010 is the current version, but InfoPath 2007 works too.
7. Make a Back-end Plan. A back-end data system is not a requirement if emailing is enough to meet your needs. Otherwise you'll need to decide on a destination for the data that your forms submit. The easiest solution is SharePoint, because InfoPath and Formotus have built-in connectivity to SharePoint. Read more about SharePoint >>
