Downloading a fms or xsn file of your form is a valuable trick to know in case you ever need technical support. Having a template of your form is helpful to our support team when troubleshooting any issue you may have. A fms file signifies it is a form built in the Formotus form creator, and an xsn file is an InfoPath form.
DOWNLOADING YOUR FMS OR XSN FILE
While logged into the Formotus portal, advance to the Forms page and find your form. Select the form's checkbox to reveal the configuration options that will appear on the right side of the page. From here, there are two ways to download your fms or xsn. First, you can select the Export button and the most recent fms or xsn file of that form will automatically download (Export button shown below bordered in red).
The second option is to find the links under Last updated:, which will look like dates (pictured below in red border). Select the most recent date to download the latest version of your form. A new link will appear each time the form has been saved and published in the Formotus form creator while building your form.
Note: All versions of your form are saved and can be accessed or downloaded by selecting the View all link (pictured above in red border). This is called Form History; pictured below is an example of the popup that appears when clicking on the View all link.
After downloading a copy of your form, you can upload it by taking these steps:
